The USF SBDC of the Heartland
hosted locally by South Florida Community College
provides free confidential counseling as well as business
training seminars to current and potential entrepreneurs. Free
individual counseling is by appointment and there is a nominal
charge for training workshops. Consultations may be held at our
office on the South Florida Community College Highlands
campus in building T or on-site at your location. Services
available for local businesses and entrepreneurs include

The USF SBDC of the Heartland
at SFCC features a two-hour seminar each month on the
Steps to Starting a Small Business. There is also a
12-week business planning and entrepreneurship course each
quarter. This expanded business course is part of the
Rural Entrepreneurship through
Action Learning (REAL) program
designed to support entrepreneurship and self-employment in the
inland areas of Florida.
